Triathlon London is the regional governing body for the sport of triathlon in London. The sports overall governing body is the British Triathlon Federation made up of Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland and the Welsh Triathlon Association. The London Region consists of 32 London Boroughs and the Corporation of London.
Triathlon is one of ten sports in the UK identified by Sport England as a "priority sport", and as such Triathlon London receives up to £5,000 per year from Sport England to invest in triathlon development. There are 6 key performance indicators (KPI's) which need to be met annually to receive this funding as part of UK Sport's "One Stop Plan". These are:

In 2009, the Triathlon London Committee developed a new Strategic Plan for London region, in consultation with interested parties. This plan forms the basis of the direction of Triathlon London as regards access to BTF and other resources, including funding, coaches, development, etc. Triathlon London Committee Officers have voting rights and are responsible for adopting new policy and intiatives that affect the organisation of the region. They also have powers to appoint sub committees as necessary to fulfil these policies. The Committee meets at least 3 times a year.
