Rules
 
The Triathlon London Tristar/Youth Series will consist of eight possible races out of a choice of nine. Results in the series will help towards deciding who joins the Triathlon London Inter Regional Championship Team although final selection is made by the IRC panel.
  • The Series is open to anyone who is a member of a London club, resides or goes to school in London. 
  • There are five categories:
    • Tristarts - 8 years old (not included in IRC’s)
    • Tristar 1 – 9/10 years old (not included in IRC’s)
    • Tristar 2 – 11/12 years old (counts towards IRC selection)
    • Tristar 3 – 13/14 years old (counts towards IRC selection)
    • Youth – 15/16 years old (counts towards IRC selection)
  • First London place at every race and in each category for male and female are awarded 1000 points. All other placing athletes are awarded points based on a percentage of the first London athlete’s time across the line. E.g. First London athlete is 20 minutes gets 1000 points. Second London athlete is 22 minutes gets 909 points. (20/22 x 1000 = 909)
  • Overall Series winners and positions will be worked on the average score for best four races of which two must be triathlons. Percentage points will be used where a tie occurs.
  • All athletes in qualifying IRC race categories will be put forwards for IRC selection.
  • It is the responsibility of the athlete to enter their races through the relevant entry process for each race. Races DO NOT reserve places for the Series, so once a race is full or deadline for entries is reached the athlete will not be participating at that event.
